| The P24
processor is designed to process a range of violet sensitive photopolymer
plate products.
It is a simple, compact, easy to use processor that is electronically
controlled to develop A2 sized, single sided, aluminum printing
plates using standard chemistry from vendors such as Fuji, KPG,
Lastra, and Agfa. The processor can be connected to plumbing or
optionally run in a stand-alone mode.
The processor can be configured to interface through a darkroom
wall or to operate in yellow light. The operator interface is a
LCD and touch panel on the rigth side of the processor.
The processor is microprocessor controlled and provides for setting
and monitoring of: throughput speed, pre-bake temperature by zones,
brush speed, developer temperature, drying temperature, developer
fluid level, replenishment rates for developer and gum, plate counter,
fluid and energy savings, and automated time sequenced programs
for plate types.
The P24
processor integrates the following processing steps:
Pre-bake
A proprietary thermal panel exposes the plate through a precisely
controlled heating step required by most photopolymer plates. This
stage can be disabled for plates not requiring this step.
Pre-wash
This section brushes and washes the protective coating from the
plates priorto development.
Development
The unit has double/single variable and adjustable brushes with
temperature controls for consistent development using the recommended
developer and replenishment fluids.
Wash
The plate is rinsed with clean water.
Gum and dry
The plate is finished ready for press.
